It seems as if malfunctioning light towers has become a common features of day-night games at Eden Garden. On thursday during the India - Sri Lanka fourth ODI, bulbs on a tower at the High Court end went off at 5.58pm with four deliveries still reamining for the close of the Lankans innings.
Play was held up for 26 minutes after which,, luckily for the organisers the bulbs started working. What followed was the usual blame game between CESC ( the city's power utility ) and the cricket Association of Bengal.
CESC blamed the CAB for not working on the maintanance of the bulbs.

GAUTI, VIRAT SEAL SERIES
The task appeared a dauting one when both virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar werw sent back by young Suranga Lakmal with the score card reading 23 in the fourth over. But Gautam Gambhir (150 not out ) and young Kohli (107) had different ideas as they setup a series decicing seven wicket win at the Eden Garden on Thursday.
